Rainbow Mountain ATV Tour Itinerary
3:00 AM/4:00 AM / 6:00 AM / 8:00 AM — Hotel Pick-Up
Pick-up from your hotel in Cusco (historic center), heading south toward the district of Cusipata, approximately 1 hour 30 minutes away.
Breakfast in Cusipata
Enjoy a semi-buffet Andean breakfast before continuing along the dirt road to the ATV station.
ATV Briefing and Training at Kayrahuire Alto
Arrival at the private ATV station of Kayrahuire Alto (4,450 m.a.s.l.), where our guide will give you full safety instructions and hands-on quad bike practice before hitting the exclusive ATV route.
ATV Ride to Rainbow Mountain
The ride takes approximately 50 minutes to 1 hour each way along an exclusive route, with stunning views of the majestic Ausangate snow-capped mountain and local communities in traditional dress. Running is strictly prohibited for safety.
Arrival at the Rainbow Mountain Summit
Park the ATVs and walk 3 to 5 minutes to reach the viewpoint at Vinicunca. You’ll have about 40 minutes to explore, take photos, and enjoy the impressive multicolored landscape while your guide shares insights on its natural and cultural significance.
Return to Cusco
Ride the ATV back down (30 minutes) to the parking area, then board the transport vehicle back to Cusipata for a buffet lunch, followed by the return drive to Cusco (approximately 1 hour 30 minutes).
